Makapu`u - High Res

As you study VR you'll get into discussions about stitches involving different resolutions of files and MOVees. High resolution files have more detail when you zoom in but, like this one, they can be huge and unfriendly for Internet display. While all of my previous VR's were technically Low Res, if you don't zoom in and you compare the vr's side by side you'll find that it's hard to notice a significant difference. Try it.

Here, this will open a new Netscape browser window for you. Makapu`u Low Res

The file size difference is significant too...this one is 1,023K where most of the rest were under 300k. Keep this in mind when you produce VR's. What medium will you be using? Will your VR's be packaged as part of a cd or shown on a web page? You may find a need for both.

Mahalo (thanks) for opening this folder. Thanks for lookin at my stuff!

I hope what you have seen here will be inspirational to you. Please feel free to correspond, especially via email. I'll be happy to reply as I am quite curious to see how many of you might see these VR's of mine.

Thanks to Apple Computer for the technology, the platform, the OS and the pointers. Thanks to Joel Cannon, our QTVR "list mom" for his help to hundreds of us and to Rupal Mehta of the Apple Developer University for thinking highly enough of my work to ask me to share some with you.

With Warmest regards and Aloha,
